Roadmap to Irish Unification
For centuries, the question of Ireland’s unity has been contested. Division has brought conflict, hardship, and estrangement between communities. Yet the dream of unity has endured, grounded in history, culture, and the will of the people.
This Act establishes a lawful, peaceful, and democratic process to determine Ireland’s future, grounded in consent, solidarity, and enduring peace. It does not impose; it facilitates — ensuring that unity, if achieved, rests on legitimacy, fairness, and the shared commitment of the Irish people.
This Act operates consistently with the principles of the 1998 Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement, including the right of the people of Northern Ireland to self-determination, exercised freely and democratically through consent.
